Student TLC Pack
As we update our emergency preparedness plan for the new school year, it's time once again to create TLC Packs for each of our students. Should an emergency ever arise which requires students to remain at school for an extended period of time, we want to be as prepared as possible.
The TLC Packs are intended to comfort and provide a healthy snack for our children while they wait to be picked up after an emergency, or until food and shelter are available. TLC packs are kept in the emergency supply storage in each classroom, and are sent home at the end of each school year. Since we never know when an emergency may arise, we greatly appreciate your promptness in sending your child's TLC pack to school.
Please send the following items to your child's teacher by September 10, 2004:
- A gallon sized Ziplock bag with your child's name written in permanent marker.
- Place in the bag the following items:
- A healthy, non-perishable snack such as granola bars, beef jerky, cheese and crackers, etc.
- A bottle of water or a box of juice.
Many families also choose to include a letter to their child, as well as small comfort items such as handwarmers, a family picture, or favorite book.
Additionally, we ask that you complete an emergency information card and return it to your child's teacher with the TLC pack. It is very important that we have accurate phone numbers so that we can quickly reach you in case of an emergency.
Student safety is one of our primary concerns at Jeremy Ranch, and we sincerely appreciate your help in preparing for any emergencies which may arise. Please call us at 435-645-5670 if you have any questions, comments, or suggestions about emergency preparedness.
